The EVH stack and The TSL100 are for sale. I'm looking at possibly picking up a Fender MIJ Jaguar special this weekend.

Those are unfinished pedals built by DVM. The ZYS MKII is pretty sweet. I might put the distortion on pedal board #2 and replace it with a T-Rex Mudhoney II later this month.

As of right now, that is a most of what I own... Still buying and selling stuff.

I'll often put gear up for sale online that I don't actually want to get rid of. I'll overprice it, because it just doesn't hurt to see what happens. With the guitar amps, I played a lovely game of "bigger and better" trading for about a year. I started with posting a Vox AC30 and traded up about 6 or 7 times and ended up with my Marshall JVM, another Vox AC30, and the Fender Bassman. I probably only spent another $250 outside of trading. :D

First, awesome gearventory! Second, what you did was create a portmanteau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portmanteau) so, although the word may be new (and awesome!), the technique has been used a time or two in the English (and others too) language before. ;-)

I love the Bassman, (prolly my favorite amph) and am also very curious about the Sonax. I don't remember your gear list for guitars either. Tell me about that strat a little left of center. Looks a lot like mine!

Rylan, you really don't need all that old, used gear. Since you work in a music store, and probably receive an employee discount, you should just buy new.

As it happens, I happen to offer a used gear disposal service. It's environmentally friendly, and all you have to do is pay shipping from Canada to Texas. I'll take care of the disposal for free!

Now, how can you possibly pass up a deal like that?;)

Seriously cool setup... My wife probably wouldn't see me very often if I had gear like that!

As far as I can tell, these were made by Yorkville for Gretsch. It's kind of a wooly sounding amp. I replaced the grill cloth with an old curtain that was in our house when it was purchased. I think it looks cool. I play it occasionally for those "butt rock/indie" tones.

Actually the cloth was purely a "looks" decision. My wife wanted a cool looking amp, and we thought the curtain would be kind of cool. The Sonax is actually a terrible amp all around :D

Rylanmartin: I could not believe it when I saw that Sonax. I have a 720G that I have owned for over 40 years. When I first got it I was told it was made by traynor amps in Toronto for Yorkville Sound which were affilated. I have not seen another one in all those years. There is nothing on mine that says Gretsch. I lived in a 3 story walk up appartment and carying my Super reverb up and own those stairs almost killed me. I ended up selling it and buying the Sonax. It is SS and the two 10s are very light. Any idea what it is worth?

Alrighty...

There are two different modes to this guitar; Rhythm and Lead (not like a pickup selector, but actually tonal modes). The switch in the top horn selects these modes.

When the switch is down, it operates in "Lead" mode. The bottom three switches are simply "on-off" for the neck p/u, bridge p/u, and a bass cut. So in "Lead" mode, it kind of operates like your standard dual humbucker guitar. The two control knobs near the input control volume and tone.

When you flick the top switch to "Rhythm" mode, all the switches and knobs on the bottom half are erased from the equation. In this mode, only the neck p/u is selected and the two horizontal slats are knobs that control tone and volume. This mode is great for Jazzy tones. It's essentially just the neck pickup with a "halfway" tone knob setting.

At first this seemed unnecessarily elaborate, but I found it really useful when playing into a slightly over driven amp. In Lead mode, I'd treat this guitar much like I would a Les Paul; all knobs 100% up and just switching between pickups at will. However, in the Rhythm setting, I'd roll the volume knob down for a cleaner tone, without sacrificing a pickup position (like rolling the volume of the neck pickup of a Les Paul). It's a great guitar for stepping away from the pedal board for a while.

I couldn't tell you much. I paid $100 bucks for mine. I don't think these are worth that much at all. I know that these were made by Yorkville, but there is an affiliation with Gretsch behind these...don't ask me how. All I know is that the knobs on this amp are very similar to those on my Gretsch guitar. I guess we've both got cool looking, worthless noise boxes :D.

If for some reason someone finds out that these are actually worth something, I take everything back and would love to sell it to the highest bidder ;).
