EDIT 3/8/11: NOT RECOMMENDED! I ordered two of these, and when they arrived, I found that they are PC-mount pins-style lugs, not solder lugs. Additionally, they don't have a knurled shaft, so they don't fit typical guitar control knobs. NOT SUITABLE FOR GUITAR CONTROLS!
I recently noticed that a place where I buy a lot of my pedal building parts is now stocking push/pull pots at a very attractive price: $2.65 each. If you've bought these at Stew-Mac ($9) or (hopefully not) Musician's Friend ($14), then you know how cheap this price is. Alpha brand pots, so you know the quality/reliability should be reasonably good. Check 'em out:

The only drawback I've noticed with Small Bear is that they can be a little slow--it often takes a week or so to get an order from them, and they're only 150 miles from me. But if you don't need them for a "rush job", you can save a lot of coin....
