Hello everyone,
My name is Mike I live in London and I love playing guitar, not enough to spend every waking hour playing but enough to allow me to play in a band and have a basic home studio and four guitars. My gear consists of an american standard strat with EMG DG20's where I swapped out the bridge pickup with an 81 it also has a gr20 with the GK3A pickup on this guitar, an Ibanez RG1570, an epipphone les paul custom with Zakk Wylde EMG's and an Indie ISG extreeme. My live rig consists of a Lany LC 50 MK11 and a Marshall jcm 900 4101 both amps have EL34's in and for FX I use a boss GT10 I also play a yamaha bass.
I'm into a broad range of music from heavy rock to classical and some of my influences include Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Randy Rhodes, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore Michael Shenker Frank Zappa Angus Young etc. I'm currently studying the more modern players such as Satch and Vai, Van-Halen in an attempt to try and improve technically and learn some of the more modern stuff like sweeping tapping and legato which is really quite difficult for me because of what it takes to develop those techniques but I'm slowly getting there. Hope to speak to some of you soon.
