Cigar box Questions

Recently I've been thinking about making a cigar box bass... preferably one with four strings or more, and I was wondering if any of you could give me some instructions. Thanks!

I don't know anything about cigar box basses, but I have a friend that builds the guitars. His name is Pinecone Fletcher (I'm pretty sure his mama didn't give him that name at birth) and he owns Hobo King guitars (http://www.hoboking.com/).
