I'm really surprised that they got Ric Ocasek to agree. They both sound like The Cars, that's for sure. Sad Song almost sounds like a mash-up of several old Cars songs. They're talking about a tour. I wonder if they'll actually do it. It'll be different without Benjamin Orr though.

I really, really loved the original Cars album, and many parts of the second album too. Kinda gave up on the later 80s stuff. I hope this one will be good! These songs show some promise.

After a few full listens, half or more of the songs sound pretty good. Nothing innovative or Earth shattering, but close to their original sound. If you don't like synth keyboard sounds, you won't like this. The better songs are worth a listen, while the others make me wonder if the album really needed to be made.
