Nice find on the web, but if you want to study & cop Gatton's chops, and benefit from split-screen showing left & right hand work, the ability to slow things to frame-by-frame, etc, I had suggested these dvds in another thread a few weeks ago, available via the links at amazon.com.
In this one, he demonstrates a slew of various rhythm right & left hand techniques in detail by himself, then with Arlen Roth playing lead over his chops.
Danny-Gatton-Strictly-Rhythm-Guitar (http://www.amazon.com/Danny-Gatton-Strictly-Rhythm-Guitar/dp/B000BM7YXI/ref=sr_1_4?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1301156204&sr=1-4)
This one covers the stuff in the web link, and more, as he milks more out of a Tele than most players can imagine possible. Of course, Danny's Tele was uniquely modded with his own onboard fx invention :
Danny-Gatton-Telemaster (http://www.amazon.com/Danny-Gatton-Telemaster/dp/B000BM7YVA/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1301156099&sr=1-2)
I picked these up at my Favorite Local GAS Station several years ago along with a few others in the 'Hot Licks' series; they were originally on VHS so they were re-released on DVD, and they all come with a comprehsensive booklet of the lesson material in both notation & tab.

Thanks for the tips on the Danny Gatton videos guys. I should get some of these. I love the way Danny Gatton plays. He was a master. It's what Django would have sounded like if he had all of his fingers and a Tele. This guy was a genius.

I had suggested these dvds in another thread a few weeks agoWay cool, I missed that. I think that covers the legit toot's from him. I had the one I posted when it first came out on VHS and it left me in the dust, but helped eventually. What a shame he called it a day so early.

Pure genius. You could spend a lifetime trying, and still come up with only half of what he could do with his right hand.
So now I'm listening to this album which is full of jazz improvisation. Jaw dropping.
