This week we are looking at how your fretting hand works. No music today but this is essentially the speech I give my students on how their fretting hand will (in my experience) work most efficiently.

next week I might do one with Tom Harkenrider on ways to make a 2 guitar blues jam more fun and the week after that we have Deke Dickerson (http://markweinguitarlessons.com/forums/content.php?390-Tom-Harkenriders-BluesCast-featuring-Deke-Dickerson-Saturday-April-30th-2-30pm-PST) in our studio for a live webcast and I'll see if I can get a few minutes with him for this blog, too. http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/smile.gif

Great tips for the new player as well as a reminder for the intermediate/advanced player. Preventing bad habits is easier than correcting them later.

Thanks Tig!

Reprogramming technique is the hardest part both in teaching guitar and improving my own skills.
