Derek Trucks and his accomplished wife, Susan Tedeschi, have put together a new band, cut an album (release date is June 7), and are on tour.

This looks promising!
Recorded in Derek and Susan's own Swamp Raga Studios in Jacksonville, co-produced by Derek with producer/engineer Jim Scott (Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco), Revelator is a confident yet unforced triumph offering a cohesive vision: an idyllic, musical world in which the echoes of so many great traditions — Delta blues and Memphis soul, Sixties rock and Seventies funk — flow together naturally, blending with an entirely original, modern sensibility.

I guess recording and touring together is the only way they can be together since Derek seems to never be off the road. Their kids will have to be born with wheels instead of legs. Rock's 1st couple!

I got to see them live for the last couple of songs a couple years ago at the end of a MTB ride that ended just above the venue. The show was great, and I really enjoyed Susan's playing and singing. I bet this will be great.

Sounds like a must have. Did a double take when I saw DT with something other than his SG in hand - maybe he borrowed Warren's Bird? Never have seen that before. And Oteil on bass -- guy is just one of the most unusual and enjoyable bass players around.
