Hey folks... Here's the next song in our cover tunes project. We've taken a slightly different approach on this one. Instead of a straight cover, we decided to do a parody of Skid Row's 'Youth Gone Wild'. Our version is called "Old Men Gone Wild". Kinda fitting, eh? :)

It's in the final stages of mixing and as always we appreciate any comments. It ALWAYS ends up making a better song in the long run! :)

Check it out here:

This features The Fret's on DeeAa on vocals and he really shines on this one I think. If you're interested in the parody lyrics, here they are...

When I was 25, they couldn't hold me down
Now another geezer guy, with a belly gettin' 'round

Never made my way to fame but I never really cared
My Senior discount is good everywhere

I look and see it's not only me
So many others beside me where I stand
We are the geezers - so c'mon raise your hands

CHORUS
They call us old and grey
They say get out of the way
We stalk the day buffets
We are old men gone wild!
Our sight has gone to hell
Our ears don't hear so well
Our joints they often swell
We are old men gone wild

Kids screamin' in my ear about who I'm trying to be
Get an 80's hard rock Tee and son you'll look just like me

I said "Hey kids, here's something that you oughta know.
Every year you're also creeping towards this old geezer show."

I look and see it's not only me
We crouch in pain and we suffer from gout
Got stomach ulcers and we tend to blackout

They call us creepy old men
We 'll soon all join our kin
We're paying for our sins
We are old men gone wild
We wobble and we fall
Our senses have gone dull
The writing's on the wall
We are old men gone wild

They call us old and grey
They say get out of the way
We love the all day buffet
We are old men gone wild!

Our sight has gone to hell
Our ears don't hear so well
Our bodies kinda smell
We are old men gone wild

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! That's awesome... Great version, guys! Sebastian Bach is NOT an easy vocalist to cover. Dee did a fantastic job, as did the rest of the band.

That solo was too rippin' to be in a parody... Rhythm was tight, and the reworked lyrics were funny as hell.

Thanks Katastrophe... I agree. Dee nailed this one for sure. Glad you enjoyed!

Best . . . song . . . ever. I might stop grinning by Thursday. I couldn't help think of the old joke, "I resemble that remark."

Greatness! :applause :rollover
As someone who has created parody/alternate lyrics for many songs, I really enjoyed this. You guys nailed the vocals and music. Put together a video including clips of old guys trying to look young (and failing), and you might have a youtube hit.

Thanks, Tig and marnold. I'm glad this is getting a good reception. I had a good feeling about the song. Great idea about the video too... we're certainly doing one and we've been trying to settle on a theme for it. That is certainly a possible way to go.

And I hear you on the 'resemble that remark'. It hits home here too. :)

Thanks again for listening and commenting!
