My latest endeavor in guitar chops development is to work on some rockabilly styles, especially some of the hybrid picking right-hand stuff (flat pick and fingers) that I've seen some of the great rockabillly guys do like Danny Gatton. I've found this incredible lesson from Arlen Roth that will give your right hand a real workout, for developing some chops in this style. I absolutely love the exercises in this lesson and have been working on it for the past few weeks. It's been an incredible chops builder for me, and is also helping my country playing quite a bit also. Here is a link to the lesson on Truefire.com if anyone is interested. I'm always amazed at some of the incredible free lessons to be had on the internet. Happy pick'n!
