My buddy Keith Vonderhulls at Buildyourownclone.com just introduced a new pedal kit yesterday, called the 855 Drive. This kit is based upon the Ibanez OD-855, which was a cousin of the TS808 that offered more gain/distortion, less mid-range, and more low end. Tonally, it seems to fall in that middle ground between overdrives and distortions & fuzzes. The original Ibanez pedal has been out of production for many years and examples regularly sell on the web for $400 - $500. The BYOC kit sells for a much more reasonable $75 and offers the same basic circuit with some upgraded components and mechanical true bypass. Check it out at http://www.buildyourownclone.com/855.html
