Picked up the amp from the skybox office today, as there were no couriers to bring it down to me. Included was the gigbag, all the accessories and the case candy. The amp is pristine. It does not even look used. Thanks to DuhVoodooman for really top flight service and being an all round good guy!

The blue glow of thunder on my desk:

WOW !!!

I played this thing all weekend. The cab sounds great with the Transatlantic and then some. I found a nice Fendery tone on the Tweed setting on Friday night and only changed it on Monday. I learnt three songs this weekend. I cant remember the last time that happened! I downloaded the backing track for Vultures by John Mayer on Friday and played the rhythm straightaway. Got most of the fills and solo worked out but not staying true to that, I like my own stuff.

On Saturday, decided to try my hand at Gravity, from the same artist. Man! Playing slower is harder but a lot of fun and I nailed in about 30 mins. It helps when your rig is sounding great. I added the Holy Grail Reverb to the chain and I had to stop. I NEVER thought I could sound like that.

On Sunday, I tried something I never did before. I've always liked Snow on the Sahara by Anggun, so I downloaded the backing track and played the melody with some adlibs over it. Switched between a Fendery clean to the Top Boost with a little grit. I'm going to get a one man lounge gig cause I could get paid for this stuff. (kidding).

Tried to take some pics this morning but they came out dark. Will post some when I can do it justice.

I have the mp3's and can post them in the backing track section if they're not there already.

I haven't been this stoked to play in years and that's the best reason for new gear.
