Several weeks ago, while picking up a board, I got two large splinters deep in to my fretting hand's index finger. I thought I had managed to get them completely out, but a few weeks later I could tell that more than likely a piece was still in there. So I went to get checked and yesterday had to have some minor surgery to remove it. Sitting on the tip of my middle finger you can see the piece that was still buried in there.

Oh too bad. Looks like your right hand, so perhaps you can work on your legato technique and hammer-ons and pull-offs? :)

That's quite a hunk of wood to be removed. Must have hurt pretty bad. Get well soon!

Doin' just great, thanks Doug :rockya
I had my stitches out last Friday morning and played a gig that night. A little liquid bandage and 1 band-aid got me through the night, no problem. Playin' 2 gigs this weekend : ) Yea!
