Jim Marshall was the man for sure and I've always enjoyed his work. That Johnny Cash middle finger shot is absolutely iconic.

From the Land Down Under though, you can't beat Tony Mott. I wont post from his website, much better if you just go look. (It's not just Aussie acts either, he's photographed literally hundreds of artists from all over the world)

That's what I love about it. It's a still image that suggests so much aurally, particularly to one familiar with Waits' music. It's often difficult to describe in non-cliche words what Waits' music is about. This image speaks to that better than a lot of reviews I've read.
