Your favorite lesser known punk "finds"

Heard this one on the way into work this morning. Was thinking to myself whether Krashpad would call it punk. i say yes, and it has all sorts of stuff I like. I was hearing Who, Kinks, even some Monkees maybe, and a good helping of The Clash, but lighter sounding. Then I found out it was Joe Strummer's first band before he joined The Clash and it all made sense. Cool!

So post up some other lesser known punkish finds sos I's can find some more stuff I didn't know about!

The Skids, Bouncing Souls, and Buck-O-Nine are some of mine. Buck-O-Nine is more Ska-Punk, I guess. Dropkick Murphys are kind of punkish, but I'm sure you've heard of them.

I'm not much of a punk fan, but a guy I know from East Germany gave me a bunch of East German Punk (http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,1694126,00.html)

FF: Ska-punk. I love that stuff too! I'll check that stuff out. Esp. Buck-O-Nine. BCD, east german punk sounds interesting. The scene seems to have been in the 70s, not too many decades removed from the war. East Germany would have been an interesting place for musical influences, I would think, just having watched The War on PBS and seeing what the allies ran into out there at the end of the war.

I dig Danko a lot indeed, seen them live too twice, and yeah, maybe there's a punk vibe there somewhere.

When I really think of it, all the bands I like the best have a certain punk vibe at least hidden somewhere in there...or, maybe it's better to say I seldom like bands that lack the punk vibe entirely :-) there has to be some punk in everything!
