Over Robert's C minor blues backing (http://www.box.net/shared/c60kptc3c3)

My take on it, just literally an one-take noodle: http://deeaa.pp.fi/clips/blues_noodle.mp3

Cool. And now for a contrast. Over the same backer I did this take in 2007. It's a really good backer to play to.

Great job! Nice to see someone posting their playing. We haven't had enough of this kind of stuff for a long time now.

Time to change that?

Nice 2007 take, Spud!

Agreed! This site IMLO is one of the best places for artists of all levels to post their clips... period!
Punch the record button and see what happens... c'mon folks, lay it down!

Great playing by both of you guys. Very interesting how you both approached and executed your solos.

I gotta say the Amp3 is making me play a lot more than I used to, it's nice to go thru the sounds and find a nice suitable one to noodle on. For this I wanted a quite boxy, almost electric-piano-esque, pretty clean a sound with not much sustain or verb at all, and the Princeton 65 patch was just the ticket with my EMG81-neck shredder. Also it was interesting to stuff play up to the 23rd fret...I have never tried playing anything that up the fretboard, hell, only one of my guitar even has 24 frets!

Indeed we should play a little more over these backings!
