I now have collected a bunch of old vinyl records, from the Shirelles to early Santana, and would like to play them on an old, trusty Technics turntable.. which is cartridge-less at the moment.

What type of cartridge (T4P) should I be buying, considering that I will be playing 45s and LPs that have seen better days, am not looking for sophisticated output, (just occasional fun)?

A diamond needle maybe??? Been awhile since I've bought a phonograph needle. All my vinyl is packed away.

I went to http://www.lpgear.com/ to buy mine. They were very helpful. At least they were in 2008. ;-)

Thanks. I did not know that some cartridges sold for 8.900 dollars a piece.. LOL

Well, isn't that what everyone spends for quality sound?
