Pretty interesting to see how much they've invaded America.

Surprised parts of NJ don't light up enough to burn retinas. I know at least one place where there are two McDonald's locations directly across the street from one another, one on each side of the highway. It's horrifying. I'm all for people being free to choose to eat whatever they want, I just don't understand why one would choose to eat that.

Ha, another angle - they are free to choose at any McDonald's they want!

Less lights in Idaho huh? Fewer people I guess.

Yeah it's almost like a population-density map, huh? I was thinking that same thing.

I was just reading about how McD had to shelf the McChicken 'cause they just ran down the whole chicken supply.
Comment was made the McD is a commodity trading firm which happens to own restaurants...!
Prior stories also revealed how McD has changed how, and the kind of potatoes are grown.

I've seen one of these for Wal-Mart, wasn't as lit up as this!

I saw that map some time ago, but wasn't particularly amazed. But when I read that Subway is the biggest fast food chain in the world, then I was amazed. I don't even consider Subway as edible.

The article I read said that the McRib was created to both replace the now-vanished chicken, and take advantage of rock-bottom prices of hogs at the time!

Yeah, but you can sure track I-84 across the Snake River Plain from Oregon, through Boise and on over toward Spud's place. You really can't see the dot for the one in Hailey. There is a clump on I-84 below where Hailey would show up that I presume is Twin Falls. Several are located down there. Along with a couple Walmarts, etc.

My favourite part about McD's is they are great for quick toilet breaks on those long road trips. I gave up eating there years ago but if I see a McRib at any of the local McDs, I'll be all over it! :dude

Depending on which parts of the people they use to make Soylent Green, I think I'd find it less objectionable than the tripe, heart and scalded stomach drenched in preservative chemicals used to make a McRib. I could deal with the moral taboo of cannibalism better than I could deal with eating that garbage.

I'd eat a plane full of dead Uruguyan soccer players and wash it down with the co-pilot before I took a single bite of a McRib. At least I'd know exactly what parts I was eating and what was done to it.

LOL.

I don't mind eating at McDonalds now and then. I usually take the mini salad instead of fries, though, and cola light. Their ElMaco hamburger however is one of the best tasting burgers around, IMO, and with that I even take chips. But a Bic Mac works now and then too. McRuis (McRye) is also OK, that one has dark rye bread for bun and is served with fresh milk.

We don't have the McRib and neither do we have the McBreakfast stuff though. Instead we have mini salads to replace fries and rye buns and milk for drink.

I have to disagree on not knowing what's in them...actually the McDonalds here has every single item on the menu explained to very minute detail, including meat origin (100% beef from right here) and potatoes (also local) and fats used etc. down to every additive.

In fact the biggest reason I usually opt for some other place is that McDonalds has such tight standards on how long can they use the same fat in fryers and how long can they store ready made burgers, that they usually never have anything ready when you visit and you end up having to wait like 15 minutes to get your meal as they make it to order. Many other places have the food much quicker at hand.

Well played.

And while we're on the subject of cannibalism, a little music from the New York Dolls.
