I love the way this amp sounds but am having volume troubles. When I adjust the Master Volume knob there's a crackling noise and the sound cuts in-and-out. Anyone familiar with this amp or this problem? Any ideas what the cause could be? I'd appreciate any help!

Sounds like a dirty or malfunctioning pot.

Agree.

Spray some Deoxit contact cleaner in the pot and all should be better.

I had a VS100 for a few years. I know that there are some Valvestate models that had issues with the circuit board traces, although that's probably not the issue with yours. I agree with Jason and Ron above, try the deoxit.

I've never found a used Valvestate of that series that didn't have noisy pots. Deoxit or a similar contact cleaner will fix it.
