I just ordered it a few minutes ago from MF and I got a very good deal as they are having a 10% off on any single item of 199.00 or more. it was already marked down to 324.95 plus another 10%off:dance:happy

Yea Vood it was...been waiting for a deal on this one for a long time and it finally came up.

just couldn't turn this deal down...I am hoping that it lives up to all the hype that I have been hearing.

Duffy.....Yes that is the one with the gold PG, I am not sure yet,but may possibly change that.

I think it's cool. There is one at a store by me that no one seems to take an interest in. It has probably been there over a year. I should check to see if they will close it out. Probably not, this time of the year though. It has a great neck - an especially nice guitar.

I've heard some really nice things about the Classic Vibe series (Squier?). I think it would look really sharp with a shell pick guard, like a Lone Star.
Looking forward to reading your review.

Should be here wednesday Duffy. I'll be able to tell more about it then when I actually see it,but like you said that PG does look ok.

A shell PG would look good to like Radioboy mentioned,I have been looking a couple of different ones at The Warmoth web site,at a very good price also.

When I was buying my CV 50's Strat, I narrowed it down to the white one like yours and a sunburst. I really wanted the white, planning to use a white or similar pick guard, but the burst had a better feeling neck, so it came home. I haven't played any CV Strat's at any stores since then, so this may no longer apply, but the variation in setup and fret work was great enough to narrow down from 5 to 2 fairly quickly.

I'd guess they are more consistant these days. I've seen similar quality variations in Gibsons, Epiphones and MIM Fenders, so I'm sure not picking on Squiers. I still believe they are the best deal going for the money. :AOK I can't wait to see yours.

Well it finally came this past wednesday and I haven't had a chance to look it over or run it through the paces until tonight. (very busy at work) All I can say is that it's more than I really expected.
I mean it does not have a flaw anywhere.the body and neck are perfect,no blemishes whatsoever!
The frets are flawless,no sharp edges at all, perfectly smooth.
I was a little concerned the gloss finish on the neck would be a bit sticky, but that was not the case at all.
beautifully finished gloss amber and smooth as silk.
No fret buzz at all anywhere up and down the neck, set up was spot on.

The Pup's are of course A3's and are a little bright, but very clear and great sounding(Amph that was used was a Super Champ XD)but don't be concerned that they are thin sounding because they are not.
if you need a fatter sound EQ it,works great.
The tuners are good,no problems staying in tune.

All I can say is that this guitar is a great buy, best money that I have spent in a long time on a guitar,(except of course for my ES335):)
So if you looking for a great sounding and great looking Strat at a really decent price ,go for It I don't think you will be disappointed.
And Yea I know, it didn't happen without PICS.:D I'll try and have some posted this weekend.
