My very generous little brother is treating us to a Cancun dive trip. I haven't "gotten wet" for several years, and I've never been diving in tropical waters before, so I'm psyched, to say the least. Flights and hotel are already booked, and we've almost booked our dive itinerary, which will include Cozumel, which is supposed to be spectacular. There are other possibilities, including bull sharks and whale sharks, aside from all the other sealife on the reefs. Our older brother is also going, so it'll be the "Three Amigos" (Tres Hermanos?) - just us, no wives, etc.. Older brother is not a diver, but is an avid golfer, so he'll be plenty happy, too.I've already gotten my renewed passport, so some clothes shopping and I'm ready to go. Hopefully, I'll have pics to post after I return.

February seems so far away....(sigh)

Maybe not what you are looking for (!), but there is a fantastic folk museum in Cancun, vastly underfunded and in cramped quarters.
Wonderful stuff, a great look at Mexican culture.
La Casa del Arte Popular Mexicano.
Few photos on its website here. (http://museoartepopularmexicano.org/museo/foto01.htm)

(the "tour" seems broken on my Linux box)

Thanks! We'll have time for stuff other than diving, so suggestions are welcome. Since I've never been to Mexico, all ideas are on the table.
