There are a few songs I have wondered how to play, and one of them is the acoustic backing for The Sons of Cain by Ted Leo:

It starts around 1:00 and is particularly evident around 2:00. This is such a bouncy backing, it seems really light and not overly forced, but the sheer tempo of it makes it something that would require a lot of effort to play at my level.
So...any suggestions on how to loosen up my right and get that easy motion that would allow this type of playing? I figure it's just a matter of practice, but I've been playing for quite a while and my wrist doesn't seem to want to do this, so I figure a little focused practice might be beneficial.
Naturally any input would be appreciated!
