Here in the Northwest we get some rain occasionally, as you may know. Lately, we've had more than the usual rain, and that resulted in some (no surprise here) flooding. It's not the worst I've been through, but it's still not the ideal situation.
Here's a little glimpse of what's going on around me:

This is a mobile home park in Salem. It doesn't look that bad, but there's probably 4-6" of standing water in a lot of places.

This is one of two routes from our area into Salem. We had to turn around and take the other route, obviously. The fact that the road is closed is kept shrouded in mystery until you've already crossed over the bridge and are right up on top of the closed gate.

This is the river park in Independence, the next town over from our little burg.

Same park. If you look to the left of center, you can see the tops of the playground equipment.
It's raining now, and probably will be off and on for a while yet. It's not the downpours that we've had, so things are starting to dry out a little, but there's still plenty of standing water all around us. Our house is safe, at least for a while.
