I brought this 1994 MIJ strat before Christmas and it needed to be fixed up for my birthday. The wiring was shot and the first four frets needed re-dressing. She now plays like a dream. The only thing I would change would be the pickups.

Sweet! I'd love to get my hands on something like that too. Was it a reasonable price?

Very nice! :AOK
As for replacement pickups, there are so many great choices out there, from Lollar (http://www.lollarguitars.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=strat-pickups) to Rose (http://www.rosepickups.com/singlecoils.htm) to Bare Knuckles (https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/pickups.php?cat=strats), etc...

Very nice indeed. Congrats!

I have a 1991 MIJ Strat floating around somewhere. I lent it to someone in the family years ago and haven't seen it since. Nice guitar as I remember.

Enjoy your NGD!

Thanks guys, I paid around £200 (UK) for it, plays really well except for the bridge pickup sounds shrill. As it is not my main guitar then I can live with this.

Now there is a story attached to the guitar and I am trying to validate this at the moment, I believe that it was once owned by a famous American guitar player !!!!!
