I bought this from a fellow member at TGP in 2010. I didn't read the ad carefully and missed the fact that the owner had a 'tweed mod' done. I wanted a stock version so I sent it to David Allen of Allen Amplification in February 2011. David returned it to stock with one mod that he described as making the bass control more usable. He also recommended the WGS G8C speaker which I installed. The amp is in very nice condition cosmetically and everything functions as it should. I have since built 3 Allen Amp kits including a small champ style amp so this little darling isn't getting any playtime and wants a loving home.

I have no problem shipping to Australia Ch0jin but I suspect the shipping charges may be steep ~

Yeah the shipping is always the deal breaker with cool stuff in the USA and Canada. I'd also assume the power tranny is 110V which would mean I'd need to swap that out, and all of a sudden we are back in >$1000 territory.

Yup, you're right.
When you add all that up along with the numbers of deadly little spiders and those poisonous mini octopi in the tidal pools in Australia, oh, and don't forget the fast moving brush fires, --- I don't know why you're not already living here ?

Hahahaha, well said. I have visited though and I liked it a lot. Customer service in the places I visited in the US was far better than in Sydney. I'd assume tipping has a lot to do with that, but it was cool nonetheless.

I don't think it's the tipping. Tipping in Canada is just like in the US but we have terrible customer service here. That's why I do the majority of my shopping back home in the states. I think it's more of a cultural thing because most Americans -- me included -- expect good service; but you don't get that too often here. (With the exception of fine dining -- if you order a nice bottle of wine).
