Hey! I played a couple of his songs when I was in a bluegrass band in college. RIP. 88 is a ripe old age.

He was great. He sure influenced a lot of people.

I thought for sure I mentioned that before. It was when I was in college. It was the only "real" band I was ever in. I played bass--the only electrified instrument. There were also two banjos, one acoustic guitar, and a drummer. Not my normal taste in music, but I had fun. We called ourselves Ban Jovi.

I love bluegrass and was just listening to some while I was working on some tiling in the bathroom last week.

Read that last night. Very sad loss for the music world. Mr. Scruggs was a tremendous player.
ps. I definitely recall a college bluegrass band being part of Marnold's backstory.
