I haven't listened to them all yet, but I'm very attached to the original Santo and Johnny version.

My version won't rank up there with these great artist, but I'm not ashamed of it either:

That was thoroughly enjoyable for me. What a timeless melody that I know I have heard before but was not really familiar with. Plus some musicians I never heard before or never heard of period. Thanks for sharing that.

Athough I couldn't find a video to go with it here is Joe Satriani's take from the "Is There Love In Space" album. Sleepwalk http://www.1077thebone.com/gallery/satriani2/audio/sleepwalk.mp3

It's live! The studio version is fat and smooth. Ca ching.

Oh my gosh!!! That is my favorite song over all others. Does anybody have a backing track of "Sleep Walk"?

That was great. I have always liked Larry Carlton's take on this song. But now I'm starting to like Brian Setzer's version more. I really like all those chord licks and vibrato things he is doing.

This is one of those songs that tends to reflect the personal style of whoever is playing the tune. It's fun to listen to all these versions and see where different players take it.

Thanks so much for sending these links. -- Jim

The first time I heard that song has got to be at least four decades or more a go I agree it is one of those songs that tends to reflect the personal style of whoever is playing the tune kinda like stormy monday in that every body knows it when they here it and it makes people emote
