Okay, so this is aimed at OtayPanky, but others here ay know of a suggestion.

My Cherokee is a dreadnought without a strap button on the heel. So this requires either A) intstalling one, or B) using a method to attach a strap at the headstock. honestly, a rawhide shoelace has the feel I like for a quality acoustic, but then the strap is "permanently" installed.

I bought this:

I hate it. It's a nuisance to install and remove, and I don't want to leave it on the guitar. The large plastic buckle could ding the wood if I were to place it in the case hastily, or hang it on the wall hastily. I don't like how it looks either.

I like this idea better. Simple. organic.

But I don't own a Martin, have no intention of owning a Martin. Don't like brand names on things as a rule, anyway.

So Bob, whatdya say. These things are $8 at Amazon, plus shipping. I can't imagine ever buying more than one, and it would be showcased on the neck of a $2K guitar, so I'd be willing to spend more for the one I would own. the guitar in question has some cool design elements, so I thought may you'd have some neat ideas.

Anyone know of other similar solutions already available?

Tio,
'sorry, I didn't see this until just now. Life has been busy and I haven't been hangin' at the Fret as much as I used to be able to.
