I grew up reading his books, so he was an influence in my life.

He was very influential to me. I have read quite a bit. But probably the most memorable was that short story TK posted.

I just watched a YT video of Ray B. speaking at NASA JPL in 1971 (as linked on BoingBoing). Excellent stuff.
