I guess it's a typical Swedish holiday. It comes from old pagan traditions when we celebrated the brightest day of the year and the coming of summer. Now days we eat pickled herring, drink various sorts of alcohol and dance around a pole of flowers and stuff while singing silly songs. In other words, having a good time.
