I originally planned to include acoustics, but ran out of space. As it was, for the top row I had to construct a platform out of some boxes lying about in order to get the last two up there.

Any questions gladly answered, including those regarding my sanity.

Thanks! Those outlets were intended for pencil sharpeners and desk lamps, but they're very handy when we have Crash Pad practices. Only, we have to watch carefully not to trip over the plugs. We've done that a lot.

Couple of questions, as usual....what are the 2nd from right, top row (pale blue/royal blue git).......and 2nd from right, bottom row (red git that somehow reminds me of a Billy-Bo). I'd like brand/pups for both and how often/what reason do you play them at certain times.

The blue one is in fact named "Ol' Blue," and is an early '70's Ovation Breadwinner. It was my first gigworthy electric guitar and was my main electric all through the '80's:

That said, I don't play it much any more, for a variety of reasons. First, it was the very first large production-run electric guitar with active electronics, which makes it fairly noisy [although the pickups are the same size as HB's, they are in fact "toroidal" (whatever that means!) single-coil pickups], especially with high-volume and distortion engaged. Second, since it's active, it has a couple 9-volts, and I don't wanna lose power in the middle of a gig or have to be replacing them all the time. Third, the controls are very quirky and anti-intuitive. One thing about that is that the toggle positions are not the usual neck, N+B, bridge arrangement; plus, instead of using treble all the way up as one's default and backing off some as necessary, with a Breadwinner you have to essentially do the opposite-- begin with them set all the way to bassy and then bring up treble as necessary. TONS of high end in the tone circuit. Last, the "sunken" bridge design makes string changes a huge PITA. Here's a pic from my first show evah:

The red one is my DeArmond Jet Star, Ruby. The Jet Star model is based on the old '60's Guild Thunderbird (the DeArmond is not only the same shape, but also has the same Thunderbird headstock inlay). Despite being an inexpensive Korean-made guitar, it's one of my faves. One reason being how distinctive it looks, but also I've played it at lots of shows and it's just a sweet guitar. The pickups are DeArmond-branded "GoldTone" humbuckers, which are a PAF-type HB with a little more brightness than most. They are thus a perfect pairing with the slab mahogany body of the Jet Star, since unlike a Les Paul there's no maple cap to brighten the sound. Although the guitar was built in Korea, the pickups were made in the US Fender plant. The overall effect is very Les Paulish, with maybe a smidge of SG.

Thanks! That ol' Kustom 100 was my '80's amp, later supplanted by the 2-cab modded '66 Super Reverb. I bought that Kustom from the same pawn I bought the blue Ovation at, iirc. An all-blue rig! The two clashed horribly, however.

I still use that Kustom head almost daily-- my office computer's sound system is connected to it, and then into a big bass cab, haha.

So, my "office stereo" is actually an office "mono."

Thanks, I know what you mean about the Ravelle. Obviously I don't mind non-standard shapes. It's about as close to "pointy" as I'd like to get, but I like it a lot. It came with Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB pickups stock and is actually in my "top tier" for players for big shows despite its Asian pedigree.

Heavy SOB though, that's the only downside, which I don't really mind.

With that Kustom head, it's solid state and too tinny for my tastes for guitar, so when part of the sound system, the bass control stays cranked all the way up, 24/7, with the treble anywhere from zero to one quarter of the way up (usually the former). And into a bass cab to offset the tinny-ness. The net result actually works.

Thanks! Not bad for sixty smackers! It was missing a string, and missing a knob, and had a squirelly input jack. But I've sorted all that. The knobs are the same as Tele/P-bass knobs, and I already had a spare one in my parts bag. Need to take some proper pics, that's one of the seller's, probably from a cell phone. It's actually more heritage cherry than the brown it appears in his pics. More pics and info here:
