Thanks for those. I just got an E-510 that should be here next week. It will be my first DSLR. I'm excited.

My wife and I went to the state fair last week and when I saw the outdoor photos that won ribbons I knew I could do the same or better. I just needed a better format.

The E-510, which I still have, is particularly excellent, because it provides really sharp photos with great color.

This photo was taken with the E-510, and the kit lens.

The kit lens is actually fantastic for its price. If you would like a better all around lens than the kit lens, have a look at the 14-54mm or the 12-60mm (better but pricier). The High Grade Zuiko lenses are simply fantastic lenses. I am actually looking for a 12-60mm for my E-510. Killer combo!

Spud, I have learned a lot about the E-series cameras from Olympus, so if you have any questions, give me a call!

This photo I took with an E-410, which was the first DSLR I got - very similar to the E-510 in terms of the optics.

These were shot with an e-520 and the kit 14-42mm. The e-520 has an over the top anti-aliasing filter and everything out of that camera needed a load of sharpening but the lenses were great. I had the cheapo 40-150mm too which was even better.

Great shots, Robert. Spud have fun with your newly acquired kit.

Truth be told, I've been spending way more time over this summer with my cameras than my guitars. It does have a lot to do with the fact that I spend most of my time with my son and he makes great fodder for photos :)
