I ordered a Fotodiox m42 to m43 adapter to use on my Pany GX1. I can now mount all the old m42 lenses to the Pany that I use to use on my Pentax Spotmatic SLR. The legacy glass works even better on my new Pany than on either of my Canons (40D is a little better at manual focusing than T2i because of pentaprism mirror). The way the Pany uses manual focus is very cool...while focusing, it will pick out a small section of what you are aiming at and magnify it on the screen, you make sure the subject is razor sharp and snap away. Works extremely well.
I highly recommend buying good examples of these older lenses on Amazon or eBay. You can still find great deals and the craftsmanship is over the top. Many of these lenses blow away modern variants. They work great for manual focus video too - esp 1080p @ 24 FPS. Unless you hate manual focusing it's a no brainer.
Here's a picture of the GX1 with a 1964 Super Takumar 50mm F/1.4 mounted to it.
