Surely sounds like it would be worth going to hear him. More and more I'm coming across amazing musicians you've never heard of (or at least, that I've never heard of) who are making really worthwhile music. An article in the local Sunday magazine about musicians who are self=promoting and producing, putting out cd's financed by pre-sales to local supporters is changing the music scene worldwide. Someone in the music biz quoted in the article made the point that without the big music biz you wouldn't have bands who are world famous (and world-touring), like Radiohead or U2 - and maybe we won't eventually, but as with the growth of local agriculture and CSA'a, we'll have vibrant local music/culture scenes to sustain and entertain us. I have seen so many enormously talented local musicians in the last 6 months who could, with the right breaks, be national acts.
