I'm glad you put that in your post, Tim. Get a designated driver, and don't forget to watch out for the other idiots who aren't so responsible.

Sunvalley, I have a sneaking suspicion about how you fund your GAS attacks.

Even though your name is sunvalleyLAW the motto under your avatar says:

Carpe Skiem

Which if I understand my Latin correctly means: Seize the Skis.

LOL!! Yeah well, they stopped teaching latin at my Catholic high school before I got there. I was really going for morphing the saying of Seize the Day (Dead Poet's Society) to Seize the ski day, or something like that. Good idea though. ;)

Well I lied about the Latin....I've never learned any. ;)

Our Christmas Eve tradition is an elegant, but low key dinner. Cooking is another serious hobby of mine and I'm going to indulge my culinary side tomorrow evening:

Appetizers:

Baked Stuffed Clams on the Half Shell

Gyoza

........with a great Chardonnay

Main course:

Garlic Stuffed, Horseradish Crusted Prime Rib

Pan Roasted Baby New Potatoes

Sauteed Cabbage with Bacon

Garlic and Parmesan Romaine Salad

.......with a great Cabernet and Zinfandel

Dessert:

Three Chocolate, Three Layer Cake

I'm pumped to start cooking! :D

I cook as well & your menu looks a lot like mine.

Christmas Eve prime rib can't be beat.

But here we've gotta have Yorkshire Pudding with it.

Yorkshire Pudding! :D

I mentioned that and my wife nixxed it.

Some people have that kind of reaction toward them. To each his/her own.
We love them yorkies with rich beef gravy/au jus 'round these parts.

Plank, I saw your sauteed cabbage & decided that I might do that as well.

Yummmmmmmmmm 6S9L, can I borrow your drool cup?

Meanwhile

Joyeux Noel?!?

During your day of Christmas celebration, take a moment to give thanks to those Romans of ancient past who helped to make this holiday possible with their celebration of Saturnia, the gradnfather of the Twelve Days of Christmas!

Whatever holiday you might observe at this time of the year, celebrate it to the fullest!

Happy Holidays and Rock on!!!
