Messin' with gear tonight... was too tired to go to sleep, so I did a test recording of some of my gear.
Guess what I used?
How do you like the tone?

Here is the same tone, with 3 guitars. One guitar using bridge pickup, the other guitars using neck pickup.
Created a little riff with drums too! :) Oh a creative moment, oh my!

No idea what you used on the first track, but to my primitive ear holes it sounds kinda like a strat style guitar in position 4 maybe?
Whatever you used, I love the tone. Just broken up and quite "woody" sounding (for want of a better term). Amazing playing too!

Not sure what gear you are using but this one had a Jeff Beck feel to it to my ears!

I'm failing at ID'ing anything, but enjoyed the riffs.
:munch:
The second one sounds like a patch from the HD-500, perhaps a plexi-something.

Some kind of fuzz face or similar?

Hd500 with road worn strat.
Both clips use the same patch. Just added some reverb in post production.

I would have guessed the Strat, but not the HD 500. I never had much luck getting that kind of sound when I had one. But as for the quality of the tone, call it a 10, or maybe a 12.

Thanks guys. I can share the patch. I used the dr Z amp and the bassman model. I used a 412 with greenbacks for the bassman. I find the mics make a huge difference too.
I used a mid focus eq pedal and a "tubes creamer" haha!
A bit of analog echo too for extra fun.
