Since we are in the last week before the world comes to an end, I thought it would be interesting to hear what everybody's favorite albums were from the year now drawing to a close. How about a top 5?

1) T&N "Slave to the Empire"
2) Joe Bonamassa "Driving Towards The Daylight"
3) Van Halen "A Different Kind of Truth" (except "Tattoo")
4) 3 Inches of Blood "Long Live Heavy Metal"
5) Firewind "Few Against Many"

Honorable mention: Dragonforce "The Power Within"

And, yes, I bought them all. Seems like a bought a lot of music this year, actually.

I really wanted to have BCC's "Afterglow" on here. I love half of the album. "Confessor" is close to replacing "Song of Yesterday" as my favorite BCC track. The problem is that the other half I'd just as soon skip over. Fozzy's "Sin and Bones" is pretty good too, but I'd rather listen to "Chasing the Grail." I like Rush's "Clockwork Angels" more than I thought I would. A couple of tracks are some of my favorite Rush songs ever.

I haven't bought that much music this year, but I've been thrilled with the latest offering from Billy Talent!

I will put in a vote for

Flying Colors by Flying Colors

I went through a couple of months where that was the only album I listened to. I also listened to

The Church of Rock and Roll by Foxy Shazam

and

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

a fair amount.
