Hi,
Do you know of a recording of Hendrix playing the Donovan song Wear Your Love Like Heaven?
I'm putting this on the theory forum because, I suspect, there isn't a recording, but I was intrigued while reading the Cross biography (Room Full of Mirrors pg 322) where... :
When he awoke at noon, his condition appeared improved, through he was still complaining of exhaustion. On the way to the airport, Kirsten (Nefer) sang a few bars of Donovan's Wear Your Love Like Heaven." "Who did that song?" Jimi asked. He said he wanted to record the song. It was the first time he had spoken positively about music in several days, and Kirsten felt he was starting to snap out of his fog. circa late august, 1970
...and I'm wondering if anyone has been 'possessed' enough to try and write this song as-if Hendrix took it on?
