The government shutdown is over.....so I can get paid for the work that I've been doing as an "essential employee". The next magic date is January 15 and certain people have already made overtures that they will push the government yet again to the "edge of the cliff". Quite frankly, it sickens me.....that a minority segment of a legislative body can hold a country "hostage". Because if this continues to happen, at some point in time, we will get pushed "over the edge" and we will default temporarily on our bills. That will absolutely happen by 2015. I don't like having a gun held to my head, even figurtively (sp ? lol).
Politics used to be a lot like pro wrestling......a lot of posturing and playacting but at the end of the night they have dinner together and laugh. Not any more.......it's nasty and rude and it's come to "my way or the highway".
