Hi guys,
Just thought I'd share this 9/8 Synth Rock style backing track in F#m - it's pretty challenging at first, but once you get into the groove it's loadsa fun :rockya
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUf9j28AKHA
We are obviously dealing with an odd time signature here - I suggest counting it like this:
1-2 1-2 1-2-3 1-2 (x3)
1-2 1-2 1-2 1-2-3 (x1)
Chord Progression:
II: F#m I E I Bm I F#m :II
II: F#m I E I Bm I F#m A Bm :II
The track is in F# Minor.
Scale suggestions:
F# Minor Pentatonic - F# A B C# E (F#)
F# Minor Blues Scale - F# A B C C# E (F#)
F#m Minor Scale (Aeolian Mode) - F# G# A B C# D E (F#)
More odd time signature jam tracks HERE (http://goo.gl/Tmjn2d)
I hope this track will be helpful in your quest to further develop your musicality and get better at playing and improvising in odd time signatures!
Enjoy :dude
