Gear reviews idea

Here's an idea that entered my head late one night. Guitar players like to read gear reviews. We already have a few good reviews buried in here, so I was thinking I could make a separate section on thefret.net that has gear reviews, be it guitars, amps, pedals, etc, so that they would be easier to find. At the top navigation bar, I would add a "Reviews" link so it's easily accessible from any page.

If you would like to have a review you wrote listed in this new section, let me know. In the meantime, I'm going to try and dig up reviews from these forums and ask the authors for permission.

Feedback on this would be most welcome!

Great idea! You can use any reviews I might have authored royalty free.

Is this going to be something that ends up like our other threads with fish cooking recipes intermingled, or more a stand alone review type a'la Harmony Central style?

I think that's a really good idea. I think it would be even better if we could standardize (or how its spelled) the format of the reviews so we got a template to use. That way it'll be easier to compare gear against each others if all the reviews contains the same things.
