I recently came across Ted Talks through Lori Linstruth's web site (check out the "new cheeky video" on the right if you dare - sweep picking girl style) http://www.lorilinstruth.com/

Ted Talks is about this yearly convention. It features people from Peter Gabriel to Ray Kurzweil to Bono and Al Gore and Tony Robbins. Just a lot of great people with something important to say.

Each year, TED hosts some of the world's most fascinating people: Trusted voices and convention-breaking mavericks, icons and geniuses. The talks they deliver have had had such a great impact, we thought they deserved a wider audience. So now - with our sponsor BMW (http://www.bmwusa.com/ted) and production partner WNYC/New York Public Radio (http://www.wnyc.org/) we're sharing some of the most remarkable TED talks with the world at large. Each week, we'll release a new talk, in audio and video, to download or watch online. For best effect, plan to listen to at least three, start to finish. They have a cumulative effect...

Must have been too much irony I suspect?:D

Check out Al Gore and Michael Shermer and Dean Ornish. Great stuff!
