A fun way to break out of the scale rut. It's a nice way to quickly get from low notes to higher notes. I often like to do these things at the beginning of a solo. Or as a way to start up a new section in a solo.
Explore this approach! Lower the major 3rd a half step and do the same thing over minor chords... and so on. It's not any complicated - it just takes a while to remember where the notes are. So, repetition! :)
