To many of you this is nothing at this time of year. We however live a half hour from Palm Springs. Woke up to a mid dusting of snow this morn, looked cool didnt cause any problems and is now melting. Last time we had snow round here was 17 years ago. Pretty cool ...no pun intended:D

Hey Mark, did you catch my pictures here (http://www.thefret.net/showthread.php?t=2243)? That shot was taken at about 9:30 AM. It snowed and blowed all day (wind chills -45 or -50). By Wed evening the drift beside the van was up to my armpit

Spent yesterday shovelling and borrowed my neighbor's snowblower to finish up. The city still hasn't cleared our street, so travel is an adventure, even in town.

But we Skatchw'ners live with it! Wait until all this crap melts! I work in water damage restoration, looking forward to a busy spring :R

We usually have lots of snow between November and March, but the weather must be pretty f***** up because we got our first snow two days ago. It has never happened before.

I sent Super Swede pics of our snow storm here in NM during the holidays. Normally here in the desert Southwest we get "some" snow below 7000 feet (of course it snows in above that elevation in the mountains) but it's usually just a dusting around here and if it does snow a few inches it usually melts by mid-afternoon. This time during the last 2 fronts that came through we got a foot and a half of snow. Hadn't snowed like that around here in over 15 years either and it's still on the ground in most places...although it's mostly melted now. Left snow on the ground for a long time.

There were blizzards all around us yesterday, but we lucked out and were only hit with the winds and -35C weather. (yup, that's lucking out...) The road conditions in town are a lot better today, but yesterday it was so slick that even the craziest driver was barely moving.

I for one will be quite thankful for spring.

Oh ya, Trev, I'm originally from Saskatchewan myself. A little town by the name of Elrose.

Yikes! First chip the ice off the parking meter, then stuff in a few thousand quarters, and just wait for spring!
