I now have a ToneX pedal. I really like the sounds I get.

I just joined a local band and we use in-ear monitors. I am using this pedal for my amp tones. I also use an old Line 6 M9 for extra effects.

What kind of tones are available? Everything from the filthiest tones imaginable to sounds that can only have been sculpted in a clean room. Fender Tweeds, Marshall stacks, dirty Diezels, high gain Bogners and so on. A huge amount of killer amps are available.

The ToneX does not come with a full fledged pedal board. TONEX can’t handle time based effects, leaving only distortion, overdrive, fuzz, boost and so on. However, amps, cabs and pedals can be combined with a noise gate, compressor and reverb.

I don't think I even knew about that until I saw you mention it on Facebook. How does it sound compared to an actual amph?

It sounds just like the real amp miked and recorded. It's a fantastic little box! You can use your own pedals with it too. It's quite limited though - no fancy external loop options or many effects. Simple is good - keeps the price down!

And less stuff to go horrifically wrong mid-gig.
