View Full Version : Fretnet Favorites!

Most TV channels have re-runs of their classical shows and I think we should have a few of those here on the fret.net. New members could perhaps finally understand why Warren is banned on most home-cooking shows.

This time I would like to present a thread that is one of my personal favorites. So pull your push gains and take a pill or two and find out how brother Dustin made a Fernandes Strat into a real Fender with the help of a little brown amp:

: "With this amph I get no screaming solos" Thread!!

LMAO! That was just too funny! :p

I was wondering why so many fretters cranked up their "amphs" - I thought I was missing something/behind the times/a total newb!

What was that about Warren's pancakes? I'm not sure I want to know

I was cruising here yesterday and almost posted a request for the "amph" story. It was better than I imagined it could be. You can't make this crap up.

I think the pancake thread was the best and should be a Fret Net classic. I'll be telling my great grandkids about that one. Knowing Warren as I do, he is one funny guy ... pancakes and all!

Look at it this way Warren. When someone goggles "pancakes", they will most likely be pointed towards the Fret Net. It would be hilarious to read in the “How did you find the Fret Net?” post that a search engine hunt for pancakes lead a future new Fretter to the Fret Net.

Just make sure Robert scores you a point in the “Referrals section of the forum for each person signed up for pancakes.

Really? I feel like mostly aliens have taken over my mind and forced me to ramble incoherently while I am coerced into helping them with their plots of guitar world domination. How does one deport aliens from another galaxy? Can they achieve guest worker status?

Spud, I think they are here to stay. They have a plan to become neo-classical shredders.

So you've noticed too!? They have to be alien, right? No mortal can do that wild tweedeley, deedeley, mwwaaaa, grrrrr, kaboom stuff all day long like they do on you tube. Aluminum hats for everyone or else they'll be taking over our minds and stealing our credit card information.

Lol.. that was a funny thread Vital!

Look what I found in a old thread, further evidence that someone out there actually managed to play the ultimate screaming solo!

"

This time I have found out more about the screaming solo™!
If your fretboard looks like this, you probably came very close to attain that blazing gain-pulling amph solo!

Good practice sesson there Super Swede. No pain ... no gain (Push/Pull). That is an excellent example that tells me I need to practice more.

I'm watching Star Wars Episode III right now and Mace just kicked Palpatine in the face! He could have easily killed the chancellor with that purple lightsabre of his. He was the better Jedi at that moment! :D
