Do you also have a strange feeling reading this?

Hope the best for Eddie.

The feeling I get is a sense of sorrow and at the same time a feeling of relief. If this statement is true I'm extremely glad that he wants to seek help because he looks like he needs it. I hope the best for Edward.

Yeah, it seems to be. I just heard a few days ago that the reunion with DLR was on the rocks again. I hope Eddie pulls through, glad he's getting help.

I saw VH on Halloween night '78 (opening for Black Sabbath) and on their first solo tour in spring '79...absolutely great shows! Eddie's style of playing was so different from everyone else's at the time, that he completely blew everyone's mind!

I hope that the reunion tour with DLR does eventually happen, that would sure be great.

I really hope that he gets his act back together again. I have a feeling that there's still some good music left in him that needs to come out.

I had heard reports that he had fallen off multiple wagons. Hopefully he can get his head screwed on straight again. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to last very long. The thing is, he's going to be dead if he doesn't.

He didn't seem quite there... I imagine he's fond of alcohol?

He looks like he's 91 years old, while in reality he's only 51.

Alcohol and cigs. Both contributed to his previous bouts with cancer.

I was at this show in Oakland California.

Day On The Green #3: Aerosmith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerosmith), Foreigner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreigner_%28band%29), Pat Travers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Travers), Van Halen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Halen), AC/DC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC/DC) (July 23, 1978)Van Halen killed!

I hope Eddie does well for his sake. I know that I'd be there if I lived his life, or Jerry Garcia's, or Jimi's, or Janis', or Pigpen's, or Jim Morrison's, or Marilyn's, or Anna Nicole's, or any of them. We eat them up & they ride on our hunger & then what? It's hard enough when life forces you to be humble.

You know. I saw Jimi at Woodstock on TV the other day & thought maybe he was right to go early. How can you top being that smooth & powerful & creative & yet tender? On the other hand, BB King was right to hang around.

Nothing makes any real sense.

Here's to all us brave souls who endure any way! ;)

He talks like he's just completely wasted in those NAMM clips. And yet he can still pull off his guitar wizardry like few of us can ever imagine being able to do. Too bad that virtuosity seems to pair up with an addictive personality so often. I pray that this trip to rehab has better results for him than previous ones....
