I was watching Miami-Ink on TV recently and I was impressed by what those tattoo artists can do. Most of their clients want very personal tattoos, which I like very much - so many things happened in my life the last three years, I could develop a million ideas for a tattoo.

Well, to the day I have no tattoo and I guess I will never have one, but you never know.....nowadays it is socially accepted here in Germany to have a tattoo and work at a bank ;-)

Does any of you guys have a tattoo? What's your opinion on tattoos?

After many years off and on contemplating, I had one done about 4 years ago. It was pretty quiet in my house for a week after (my wife now accepts it) I had a Polish Eagle (heritage) done on my left shoulder. My father has been quiet against "friggn dopey tattos" for quite some time, but it's tough for him not to like it. I had thought of getting another but haven't been able to think of something else meaningful.

The eagle is done in black with no red background.

As long as the place is sterile I'm all for tatoos. (Though I'd call'em 'toos rather than tat's.) I don't have one, but then I wouldn't know what to get.

I've got a big half-finished back piece of Hayagriva, one of the Dharmapalas, or Tibetan protector deities. Hayagriva is considered the wrathful form of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. We've been working on the thing for about a year and a half now, and unfortunately I don't have a current picture. I'll try to get one up here soon. Basically he'll look like this, only different:

I would like to have a tattoo but I havent really figured out what I want yet. A Britney tattoo is out of the question after she shaved off her hair.
