This is a great performance by Joe Bonamassa but watch him struggle to keep his guitar in tune. Great volume swells at the start too.

The guy's a wizard, without a doubt. Best blues player to come along since SRV, IMO.

BTW, after playing that clip, this came up in the YouTube associated links list and is worth a listen. Pretty cool blues clip from NAMM'07 featuring Warren Haynes, Pat Travers, and Joe Bonamassa:

You can see his Marshall Jubilee's in the beginning of the clip...

That's why you never do your first set with new strings. ;) Love that single coil bizzzzzzzz in the background too. *thumbs up*

Joe is monsterous and an all around great fun guy. I wish they still made that leslie sim pedal he's using.

What leslie pedal is he using?

It's on that youtube video of him showing his amps and equipment. We have a thread about it somewhere here at the Fret. I can't remember the name of the pedal but it does a really good leslie sim and he said they don't make them anymore. Look for the thread.

I love it. This is great. I really like the volume knob thing he's doing. He makes it sound like a violin.

Yes, he is really fighting with the guitar to keep it in tune. Must be new strings.

I have noticed that my "G" string starts to go out of tune more than the others, and it is the one I am tending to bend more than the rest for some reason. Does that make sense, and indicate I am getting ready for new strings again? I am on my second set now on the strat I have had since October, playing it about 20-30 min per day most days of the week on average.

Generally when I start having tuning problems, I know it's time for a string change. It could also be binding at the nut on that particular string.
