Im trying to get pickup screws and springs for my Strat pickguard project locally with no avail. I really didnt want to order a few dollars worth of screws and springs and then pay more for the shipping than the order was worth.

I looked into what sized screws was needed so I could just buy the screws from Home Depot leaving me with having to find the springs.

I was reading up on the subject about the springs and found that you could also use silicone tubing and that it would help with feedback as well.

Has anyone tried this?

How long should I cut the pieces of tubing?

Any help would be appreciated

Rob

Here's a picture of the Fender pickup tubing.

I'd say about 1/2 to 3/4 inch length.
